The wad I've settled on for my 20 ga hunting loads is Ballistic Products TC20. I load 22 grains of Longshot, BPI's TC20 wad and 1oz of #5 Nickle plated shot. However, as for sp20's being the only wad for 1 oz field loads, that is inaccurate. According to my 5th Ed Lyman, there are 1 oz lead recipes for wads waa20, sp20, rxp20, and 20s1. The RXP20 shot cup depth is 7/8" with smooth petals and the SP20 is 1" with stitched petals and ribs. You probably need the SP20 due to the greatly increased volume of bismuth (it looks like they use a 1oz lead wad for 7/8oz of bismuth). The RXP20 is next closest, a 7/8oz lead wad, which would hold less weight in bismuth (5/8oz maybe), but you can't get those either. Take a look at some of the Ballistic Products/Precision ...
