Motbro, In the Honda Service manual, there is an entire procedure for testing components in your ignition system. It would be best to follow that procedure. JRV: Remove all the original, gummy, stiff grease that is in the shift motor gears. Then, replace that grease with a liberal amount of All-temperature, white lithium grease. That should help.
